Why invisibility? Simply because if you are in a high-pressure situation you can just poof or if you have to be silent then it's perfect.
Whats flight going to do? It could help you escape and get a better view.
how could Super strength help? defence and offence of course.

One of my aunts showed bravery when she went to Afghanistan to help with the issues. Her main assignment was to help the women since they were treated wrong, she would help council she would take photos and a lot more. It must have been extremely stress full with how terrible Afghanistan can get. In fact, I used to do saint John cadets in which I and my older brother received a medal for her being over in Afghanistan. That was mine but what's yours?

Day 1# Activity 3# The SPCA does what for who?

The following information was inspired by  SPCA New Zealand.
The SPCA is known for its work at protecting sick, injured and even deserted animals safe. The SPCA has rehabilitated 40,000 animals and microchipped nearly 30,000. Judging by those results you can see that they provide a wide range of animals related things but that's not all. They have also provided 2,500 schools to their free educational resources. Although they do so much for these poor defenseless animals they get less than 1% of government funding.

Is The Wall To Be Or Not To Be That Is The Question Donald Trump

If Trump were to call me about my opinion on the wall it would be a strong no. To elaborate on the point. First of all, if He was to build a wall it would be a terrible idea since he plans on to make Mexico pay, but the world would be on Mexico's side forcing America to pay and Americas already 21 trillion dollars in dept so another 45 billion(the estimated price) won't be to the good. It will also cause constant controversy and possibly war. Which could end in world war 3 although that's getting quite crazy and very low chance, but theirs still a possibility. If Donald Trump doesn't build a wall though then the people that voted for him will vote him out, so he's got himself stuck in lock where no matter what he does will turn out bad, the most he can do is blame it on Mexico but even that will get Mexico mad for lying and getting them in unnecessary trouble. The best thing for him to do is for him to accept that he lied to his people. Thanks for viewing this.

Principle Time!!!

If I was to become the principle of Oruait school I would shorten the school hours to 4 hours and remove morning tea, there would be some cons to come out of it like it would be harder for parents to organize pick-ups from buss stops and things like that, on the other hand we have the prose which are, we get more time to refresh our brains for the next day, it would give teachers more personal time since they can organize the next days learning earlier and have to do less organizing for the next day. Also, if we remove 30 minute breaks but remove  60 minutes that means we will have 30 extra minutes of learning (is that how it works). Next I would add more verity for the students (this is assuming there is a large budget), this would boost most of the students moods since they would be excited for the next day. Then I would organize a tech room that allowed students of all backgrounds to experiencing a variety of things like: virtual reality, computers and augmented reality devices. This would allow them to have an out-of-body experience like being able to travel that world with google earth, create animations with the computers and render their creations in the real world. It would be awesome for kids to experiment although this would cost a lot of money which is the perfect transition for my next idea. Finally, to account for the money we could enter competitions host competitions and have bake sales market days etc. That’s what I would do, Thank you for reading.

ACTION WORLD!!!

Recently my class(Manuka) and two others went to action world. mostly all of us went on the buss but then suddenly I was going in a car with 3 other people Amara, Atahua and Cooper whos mother was driving the car. After an hour of driving we finally arrived and it was giant. We first were taken to a fairly large area with a shade sail and put our bags under the table then split up into our classes. Then we were taken around the various activity's, first we did an impossible ladder climb and so on

Symmetrical drawing

Today we had to make a picture using google draw and make it symmetrical. It was quite easy and fun, I created a monster of some kind with a house on a mountain. Here it is.

Reflection: I personally think this is great since you are quite limited on google draw.

Shapes Of Symmetry

This week in Manuka, we were learning how to identify a shape as symmetric or asymmetric. After we learnt how to do this we started to make Logos with either the letters of our name or our product for market day. I made my logo out of my name, it has one line of vertical symmetry. The letters are my initials turned side ways. The wings represent free time in class but since they are barely attached it means that we don’t get any free time really.

Reflection:

I think that my logo is quite good but since we were hand drawing it’s not completely the same.

Also the lines aren't very straight.

Maniakalani Film Festival

Maniakalani Film Festival
Today we was North-lands first time have a film festival. Although I was not part of the film selected for viewing  I was pulled out of a hat to go and view all of the movies. There were eight schools that were in it and each school had two movies each movie was 2-5 minutes long, so in total it was about 25 minutes of movies. It was hosted at Teahu center. The journey from school was about 45 minutes there and back. But I was occupied playing with the person sitting next to me, Isaiah. Once we got there there was a red carpet with the golden bars next to them, it was  like Hollywood. Once we entered the building we were taken into the theater, we were taken to a row an I was right in the perfect place. Each movie was amazing to watch, I loved them all. We were getting ready to go but then I noticed one of my old teachers which was quite interesting. On the way back to school we passed MacDonald's and an ice cream store, as much as the kids begged, the teachers didn't listen.


I feel like this was a great opportunity for kids of ages ranging from 9-12 to get a chance at movie making, I feel that movie making inspires creativity and can create wonderful things.

Market day learning

Last week at Oruaiti school we had a special guest, her name is Mel. She works for many company's by making advertisements. She told us a funny story one of cokes employees, said employee had created a new flavor idea it was a mix between  cranberry and Apple, he called it Crapple. When it was presented every one laughed like it was a joke. Mel also taught us to
-Not to use Jargon (Our personal words)
-Work out your target market
-know your competition
-Use bold words for advertising
And more but those stuck out to me.

For market day I am going to be a photographer. Im going to have a set and take Christ Mas themed photos for family's. I have props to use and my brother a semi professional photographer might help me if he wants. 
My Action plan
1. Set aside what props I will use.
2. Decide were I will work.
3. Decide  which phone to use.
4. Ask my brother if he wants to help.
5. Prepare a back drop.

Trend Micros Cyber safe Competition

As some of you may know there is an anti virus software called Trend Micro and they are holding a cyber smart competition, in said competition you must create a poster that demonstrate how to be a great digital citizen. Over the past few weeks I have created a poster, here it is

It was quite easy to make all I did was...
1. I opened up a new google drawing page.
2. I Found a royalty free image of the Matrix and a royalty free image of an empty monitor.
3. I layered the monitor on top of the Matrix back ground.
4. I selected all and then Ctrl x to cut it out temporarily.
5. I found an image of a desk backdrop that I liked and inserted it.
6. I undid my cut on the monitor.
7. I selected the curve tool and drew a body that was semi cube like.
8. Finally I added text bubbles to show how to be cyber smart and be a good digital citizen           Please Vote for me

Pet Day

Pet Day
On the 24th of September it was pet day so, yesterday, we had Pet Day. Pet day at Oruaiti school is wonderful. We had a few game, lots of food(Nachos, cakes, hot chips, sausages and more) and lots of pets.

 There were many different animals like dogs, chickens and lambs. For the dogs, they had to complete a lap of the hall and try do a trick, but they were a bit shy, the winner for the dog competition was Camryn, her dog was also the best cared for. For the chickens I'm not sure what they were judged for but I know that they did the healthiest, one of my friends one the competition for the chickens, her names Kaylee and her chickens called Floppy, she's so cute(the chicken by the way). The lambs were the main attraction though, they walked in circles and had to dress up, one person for the dress up part swapped with the sheep, so the sheep was wearing an Oruaiti school uniform and the kid was wearing a lamb costume, and once again Camryn won first, she dressed it up as a fire man and the lamb as a fire truck.

 After that was finished we had lunch time, I ate some hot chips and drank lemonade. Later on in the day my mum, brother and grandparents came along. We walked in and out of classes looking at their art, some classes had incredible stuff. My class did cubby hole diarames, landscape painting, birds out of cut out pieces of paper and vegetable animals. For the vegetable animals I didn't have anything so I had to use kiwi fruit from the class fruit basket, it actually turned out pretty well. And that concludes what happened.

Maori week.

This week in class we have been working on Maori comics in favor of Maori week. This was extremely fun. Sadly I lost my original one.

Pet Day Painting

Over the past month we have been painting landscapes, my one started out terrible but then with a few brush strokes and some dabs(brush dabs) it was looking a lot better.

Harry And George

Last week at school we were making all sorts of things to present for pet day, one of them was a slide show on our pet/pets, my one was about my two pets Harry an George. It was fun to write and learn about there breeds.
To me it was very easy for me to complete but I still found it fun.

Class Room Karaoke Production

This week we have created a movie, its about math class, and the students hate it, when the teachers not looking the kids get up and dance. My role in the movie was the teacher, I found it pretty fun, it was interesting to be in front of the camera. This movie included our whole class.

The Glorious Mantis Shrimp

today at school I was tasked with creating a poster on an animal of my choice that I thought was the best. I believe that the Mantis shrimp(Rainbow shrimp) is the best for its amazing features.
My thoughts on my working and productivity is a 7/10. I found it to be a fun and moderately easy task, I finished mine in just two days.

What is Netiquette?

Today for cyber smart we were learning about what netiquette is. We learnt how to be netiquette, its actually a newer term. Personally I think that learning about netiquette was actually quite easy.

MOVIE Making

Today we were practicing creating movies. My group created a movie projected at a person who despised doing cross country. He was forced to do cross country, and he hated it. But mid way through the race he sees his friends cheering for him. He  decides to run the rest, he ends up coming third place.

I think that one of the struggles my group faced was that it was hard to get good audio quality, since we had to work in the hall. Another thing that was hard is that we had rain nearly constantly go on. But we did well at using lots of shots to let the story play out.

Next time that we do film making we will be able to do more scenes if its not raining. Hope fully we can get a few more scenes done soon.

Science Together: Making Oobleck

Today at Oruaiti we had a science together day, we have these every other day.
One of the activity that I did was making Oobleck, this was very interesting since it resembled multiple states of mater. The formula for Oobleck is 1 part water and 2 parts corn flour. My group realy enjoyed making oobleck, in fact I enjoyed it so much that I decided to taste it, I would not recommend it, if you would like to know,  when you eat it its like biting a water balloon covered in flour.

Mini Film Production

On Friday we started to learn how to create small films, later that day we created our own films.
We learnt, how to compose various takes into one, how to follow a story board, how to collaborate with a group and be assigned different roles and follow them.

I would say that my group was successful at editing scenes and getting good camera angles.
The most difficult part was editing and directing, the editing part was quite challenging since I had never used Imovie, the directing was hard since I had to look over the footage multiple times with my co-editor. Next time I would like to work with a different role, I would like to try a different role to get a different learning experience.

Kia Kaha Kiwi

This term my school(Ouaiti school) hosted a production, our topic was kia kaha kiwi. This term my class did ours on pig hunting, I was a hunter. This year we did well when it came to the final song, we also did well at keeping  the right timings although we could of work on going slower when it was our time to go across the stage.

Tangrams

WALT: create a tengram that represents the shape of another object. Today we were doing Manaiakalani, it was quite a surprise when ended up doing tangrams. I was the only one that could make a horse, I also made a few more. Reflection: I enjoyed making these and would like to do it again. Do you think you could make eney of these?

2D to 3D

WALT: Draw 3D cubes to create a small/big stack.
Today our teacher decided that she would give us a bit of of a break so she got us to create some 3D cubes on isometric paper. It was a bit of a challenge but we powered  through it and got some awesome out-comes.
Reflection: I think that I have done an alright job at creating one of these awesome shapes. Its not got to much detail since this one only took me 10 minutes but I think it looks quite cool.
Next time I might make the shapes more random.

Think six, an incredible method that works for all.

WALT: Today we were tasked to create better version of Think Six (Think Six is something that we use to help us create a quality blog post.) Heres my one.
Reflection: I think I did quite well at using canva to create a think six poster.

Are zoos to be or not to be, that is the question.

This year my topic was are zoos necessary. I did well with eye contact and memorizing my speech, I also did well at being loud enough to be heard. Next time I could work on being slower and being more clear.
