This year my topic was are zoos necessary. I did well with eye contact and memorizing my speech, I also did well at being loud enough to be heard. Next time I could work on being slower and being more clear.

Before we left we had to find

The Maori land march

The Maori wanted to stop there land being sold to Pakeha. Maori did not want their land to be sold so they held a hikoi from Te Hapua to parliament in Wellington. They took their partitions( formal request with signatures.)All the way to Wellington. Whina Cooper was the leader of the specific hikoi. We feel highly unimpressed and annoyed with the human race, that they won't fairly share the land with the Maori.

We had to write a persuasive paragraph using the structure reef. Our one was about the Maori land march.

a 1080 pervasive paragraph.

1080 is a poison that has the capability to kill pests.
But it is also a harmful poison to native wildlife because they digest it then die. Did you know that 1080s kill 25% of kea every year? And dog D.O.Cs supposed to protect birds and native animals. I feel sad that D.O.C, the people that are the protectors of animals and birds are killing them. Put yourself in their shoes. :(
